Privacy

Climbing Calendar has no accounts, no login, no analytics and no advertising. Last updated 4 November 2026.

What stays in your browser

Four things are saved in your browser’s local storage. None of them is sent anywhere. They are not cookies, they are not readable by this site’s servers, and they do not follow you to another device.

  • Your color theme

So the site does not flash the wrong theme on every page load.

  • Your favorited events

So the events you starred are still starred when you come back.

  • The filters you last used

So the schedule reopens the way you left it.

  • Your named filter views

So a view you saved is still there next time.

Clearing your browser’s site data removes all of them. Nothing is lost that cannot be set again in a few clicks.

What does not happen

There are no cookies, no advertising, no analytics, no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts of any kind. Nothing here is shared with anyone, because nothing is collected to share.

Server logs

The site runs on Google Cloud Run, which records ordinary request logs — IP address, timestamp, the page requested and your browser’s user-agent string. These are used to keep the service running and are not combined with anything else, not used to build a profile, and not shared.

Where the content comes from

Event data is read from USA Climbing’s own published schedules; gym addresses and contact details come from Google Places. That is about the information shown to you, not about you — but it is listed in full, document by document, on the sources page.
